Jack is a 2nd year student at Lancaster University, and a member of several societies including LURPS and LUPAS (of which he is now the technical advisor).

He gets very annoyed if people poke him on facebook.

Enlightenment

Jack was present on October 9th 2008 (s4e01) when the members of LUPAS were attacked by Jaye Hollow. He subsequently saw his friends killed and raised as vampires, although he is currently uncertain about how much of the story he believes.

His recovery after this attack, as well as his almost miraculous survival, raises some suspicion that he may be an enlightened human. If this is the case, we have no evidence to suggest he is aware of this.
